How do you know Peaches are ready?
To know when they’re ready, look for full colour in the fruit and a slight softness when gently pressed. Pick carefully to avoid bruising, and store them in a cool spot, or refrigerate for a few extra days of freshness.
How to care for your peach tree – after harvest:
Once the harvest is over, show your tree some love – prune to encourage development of the new growth that will produce next year’s fruit, give it some organic fertiliser, water deeply, and cover the soil with sugar cane mulch keep roots cool and moist and inhibit weed growth.
